hi there electrician turned off the electrical supply to the kitchen including the underfloor heating to fix something else. We left the underfloor heating switch on in the kitchen. Now it says "OfF" on the control panel where it should have the temperature. Please can anyone tell us how to get it working again. The instruction manual we were left when it was fitted 7 years ago is for the wrong control - we're assuming there might be a reset button somewhere but can't see it. the name of our control is Heat-Control 10. Hoping someone can help and with thanks

First hit on Google is the manufacturer when you put in Heat-Control 10!
Here is a link to the instruction manual:

yes sorry I've only just googled that phrase after 2 hours of googling various other permutations. I've found out that there has been a power failure to the control and it is now working on the back up battery. We have had 2 lots of people working in the house today. One mending the dishwasher (unsuccessfully) but we're wondering if the pulling out and pushing back in of the dishwasher could have disturbed any wiring which may be there as it is a power source that may have been used when the ufh was fitted. is this at all possible? The other was an electrician who mended a temperamental light switch in the kitchen but just switched the RCD (?) off in the cellar to switch off power to kitchen. i wasn't at home but OH only noticed something was wrong when the kitchen floor got colder and colder and when he looked at the control it said "off". don't really know what to do. Can't think the dishwasher people will come back to see if it's them that caused the problem.0

Either of those are possibilites!
My guess would be the dishwasher socket - some underfloor heating systems take their power from appliance sockets as it is a convenient place to obtain power from.If my post hasn't helped you, then don't click the 'Thanks' button!0 -
