First Direct £35 !

I was just about to open an account with First Direct to get my £25 and my father gave me a leaflet offering £35 !
It says just quote reference LU029 when filling in an application form before 31st Oct 2004 !
Can see nothing about a minimum amount to open account with,
I opened mine with less than £100 and within 2 weeks have my £35.

David :)

  • how did you join up, and where did you quote the code?
on the website it says they will give you £25 when you sign up and have your salary paid into that first direct account - is this true?
  • Seems to me this post is for personal gain only. The code is your own that you got when you joined. When you refer others they also get money but so do you.

So theres more in it for you really. Rather stick with the £25 than line your pockets mate. :P

    Reddyman,

That's not true. I've had a couple of these leaflets and they are at the stated higher amount. I'm sure that DavidIpswich will correct me if i'm wrong, but I believe that there is no personal gain to him and that First Direct do not offer a 'Recommend A Friend' programme.

In fact, next time I get one (they're usually in the middle of a magazine), i'll save you one if you like? And no - I stand to make absolutely no benefit whatsoever. If you feel like sending me a 4-pack or bottle of wine through the post, then that's your call.
