Hi,
Thanks everyone for your comments.
Assj. maybe I should got to zumba less often, it's on every week and is £4.50 a session, I don't need to go every week.
Bordkid. I did join a meet up group on line who meet up regularly in Manchester but even if it's a free event there is still parking or transport to pay for so I only went to one. i don't know about WI, I thought they meet in the daytime when I'm working.
I will be speaking to my youngest about getting a bike and will talk to the older ones about paying a bit more.
Alybaly, thanks for your good wishes it nice to know someone understands my feelings.
Beanielou, as things have been tight for so long I haven't been budgeting for anything, whenever I've faced expenses out of the everyday(inc Car Tax, MOT,household repairs, replacing school shoes etc) I've had to either skip a payment somewhere or borrow again.I try to get what I need from freecycle when I can and things are left if not urgent Eg: lounge carpet has been threadbare for a while and my youngest only has a piece of carpet in his room that doesn't fit and the microwave is smoking now, I am looking out for these on freecycle but no luck yet.I go through feeling frustrated to quite apathetic and do get depressed.
I was going to change to a lower rate with virgin, I always found BT more expensive and you have to have a landline from one of them don't you? The package I'm on now includes 800 mins a month to any uk number including mobiles, I went on this when there were 3 teenagers at home and my bill was ridiculous, these days the lads have their own phones and my stepdaughter, who was the worst culprit, has moved out.
Thanks again all for your advice,
Tina0 -
Sorry Loubelle, dvardysShadow is correct I couldn't rent out a room, but all the bedrooms are full anyway and the dining room also serves as my office during workdays.
Thanks anyway.

Was asking about your spending from the point of view that sometimes if you can pinpoint what you have spent the money on its a good starting point on cutting it down IYSWIM?I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. Yes, I understand, but even if the lads start paying a bit more there's still such a shortfall that I think I need to go bankrupt in order to be able to budget for everything properly.
I think my stupidly taking on the pdls has been the final straw.0 -
Beanielou, well done with your debt free success by the way and with your weight loss, that's something else I need to tackle and another part of my reluctance to give up smoking and zumba.
My motivation to exercise is poor and I sit down all day when I'm working and at weekends I take long lie ins as my bed feels like a safe haven just now.0 -
I know where you are coming from re bed tinamac.
My motivation to exercise is dire.
Still more weight to loose!
Katsu mentioned the credit union.
Even if you could get enough from them to pay of the pay day loans that would be a fantastic start.

Hi Tina quite a few WIs have evening meetings you can find out about local ones from their website. It difficult to advise about meeting people as we live in the country and parking is no problem but have to have a car as there are no buses to most places.0
-
beanielou,Do you know, with a credit union, don't you have to pay in for quite a while first and have paid in a percentage of what you want to borrow?
Bordkid , I had always thought WI was for older ladies of leisure who have a domesticated nature, (that's not me at all, although at 48 I probably am an older lady now ), if you think I have a misconception I will check out their website.
Thanks0 -
The credit unions are all different.
Reseach any local to you & see what the score is.
I wouldent be where i am today without my credit union.
In my case I was able to get a loan to cover all my smaller pesky hign APR commitments.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters.
