Heating and hot water situation idea

The bungalow im renting has a 9kw wet electric system that does both the heating and hot water tank.

I am on economy 10 with the hours

00:00 - 05:00 off peak
13:00 - 16:00 off peak
20:00 - 22:00 off peak

My timer has 2 on offs that can be set that control the heating and hot water at the same time.

Heating and water set to

04:00 - 05:00
15:00 - 16:00

We are at work from 08:00 - 17:00 weekdays

We then put the heating on manually if we feel we need it.

Question is....

The hot water tank does have an imersion heater on it.

I wonder if i would do better turning off the hot water on the elec boiler and using this imersion with a timer and set that timer for off peak hours in the day?

Anyone have any thoughts?

Seems silly heating the hot water up to temp twice a day or will it not really make any difference?
