How do you normally transfer music mp3s to your player?
Also, what format is the Audiobook in? Are you sure it's in mp3 format?0 -
Thanks for help, I think that it's in mp3 format, that's how I downloaded it0

Hi it's a zip file does that make any difference0

... then you need to un-zip it before you do anything else.
Do you have WinZip or anything similar?0 -
You don't need Winzip, Windows will extract the files for youpennyshahin wrote: »Hi I've downloaded an audiobook (Father Brown) from the internet ,how do I transfer it to my mp3 player please, it's probably easy I know
Option 1- Right click on the downloaded zip file and select "extract all" from the context menu.
- Follow the Wizard and extract the mp3 files to a folder on your pc
- Copy the files from the folder on your PC to the MP3 player as normal.
- plug in your mp3 player and open it in windows explorer
- double click the downloaded zip file in another explorer window - it should open up and you should see the MP3 files
- Drag and drop the MP3 files from the opened zip file to the MP3 player

Thanks for all your help, I did it using winzip-by putting into my windows media player, it took me a while and there are probably quicker ways , the only thing is that I've got a sansa and it doesn't come under audio files on it , it comes under songs-can I change that.0

I'm afraid not - Sansas differentiate by file type - they class all mp3s as songs.
The only files which will show up under audio files are "proper" talking books in the "Audible" format - the file names end in .aa
These have a big benefit over long mp3s - you can set multiple bookmarks which are (usually!) remembered even if you go off and play music in between listening to chapters of your book.
As far as I know, there's no way for Joe Public to convert mp3s to aas either legally or otherwise.I'm dreaming of a white Christmas.
But, if the white runs out, I'll drink the red.0 -

.
Shirley this depends on the player, My creative Zen will bookmark anything on the player, MP3 Avi, wma etc. I'd be very surprised if Sansa didn't offer this. At the very least I would expect an auto bookmark where it remembers where you were when you switch off and resume from there at the next power up.
Perhaps treating the MP3 as a podcast might help.
