spendaholic... go to sell ~ online aucton ~ dvd (choose your category) then it will ask for the ean/title/lead role... once that is filled in it should pre fill for you :)
  • DEBTFREEWANNABE and mo1 its easy once you know how... first you need to register... go to the ebay home page and near the top there is either links sign in or register... click register and register... you will have a golden person next to your name for 30 days ~ thats to let everyone know you are a newly registered ebay member...

once you are a member i would recommend you buying a few low value (but needed) items for you/your home... this is to give you some feedback before you start selling... even if you start selling from day one you will get some sells dont worry but feedback is the key on ebay :)

to start selling you either need a paypal account (paypal is an ebay run company and its as easy to register there as it is to sign up to ebay) or credit card registered on ebay or have a direct debit facilty set up through ebay... this is to pay the fees you will inccur for listing and the the final value fee for selling on ebay...

to sell read some of the selling topics under the help section on ebay... but its simple really... sign in and then click on sell it will then take you through it step by step... and you will have to pick a catogery, insert photo, write a description, state your terms and conditions, put the postage and packaging price etc etc... this is all done in a step by step fashion...

you can also chosse how long your listing runs for i usually choose 10 days and start them friday night then you get two weekends in so better prices... for more tips see my post above :)

anything else i can help with please post but please be a little specifc with your questions :)
  • oh and feedback... once you sell/buy you need to leave feedback... the more feedback you have the more people will buy from you... when you buy i usually leave feedback once i recive the item... when i sell i leave feedback once i get feedback/email from the buyer saying its arrived... if the dont email/leave feedback i check on royal mail (as everything i send is recorded) and once it shows delivered i leave feedback... but please be aware feedback is optional so dont chase for it :)

    hi posting,
i have listed my first items as a seller,
    i have 4 stars and 100% as a buyer,
oh not sure if i have 4 stars, i have a 4 in brackets next to my name,
can i put things on buy it now or do i have to wait until my ratings are better?
someone has told me this will help me sell more, is this true?
    thanks!

    Eupho :)

eupho you need to weigh the item and look on royal mails website... i usually add 50p for recorded (if i guess the weight) but most things i weigh with my £2.50 kitchen scales from argos :) and sometimes there is only 20p difference but it covers you if the buyer says they havent recieved thier item :)

The 4 menas you have 4 feedback from 4 different buyers. If you sell to0 the same buyer again, your feedback remains at 4

hi sured... the 4 in brackets beside your seller id is your feedback score (so you have recived feedback from 4 sellers/buyers) buy it now i think you need either 5/10 try it (go to sell and see if you can use fixed price)... me personally dont think things sell well on buy it now unless they are wanted items and you have set them at a great price... 99% of my auctions are auction... you do take a chance with an auction but always put a starting price at which you would be prepared to part with it for... ie dont put 99p if you want £2.99 for it :D

btw with regards to feedback... if you buy three items from one seller or sell more than on item to a buyer you can recive feedback for all the items and it will be added (click on your 4 and you will see your feedback) but your score will only go up once...

example you buy three things from a seller and she leaves feedback but your score will go from 4 to 5 instead of 4 to 7 but it will be logged in all the numbers ~ see example below

    Feedback Score: 380
    Positive Feedback: 100%
Members who left a positive: 380
Members who left a negative: 0
    All positive feedback received: 424

this positive feedback is higher than your feedback score :)
  • sured you can get stars after your ebay id though... see here for details http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/feedback/reputation-stars.html each time you get a new star you will be informed through email and you will have that star next to your id till you reach the next level :D
