Hi we paid 2 cheques into natwest bank over the counter on Tuesday. We have the receipt. These payments are not showing up on our account as being paid in and we have been into the bank and were told not all cheques show up. We were told they would in our account today, they aren't, we feel we are being fobbed off.
Does anyone know where we stand, these were tax payments to us and haven't been cancelled. I am going into the bank again tomorrow. What is the best way of dealing with this please. Thankyou

In my experience NatWest only shows cheques when the funds are available to withdraw. That's 4 banking days at least. You will not see any sign of them before Monday at the earliest.

Thankyou. I have usually had the cheque show that it is paid in but not available to use. I hope you are right. Phone line call centre for bank said it should have shown up as paid in. Many thanks for your reply.Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take but by the moments that take our breath away. – Hilary Cooper

I would take the receipt into the branch where they was paid in.
Sometimes depending on how the cheque was keyed they might not show up on the account until the cheque has actually cleared.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -
