Teabags - I like a strong brew (as does my fella) so the value types are no good for me, and there are certain 'labels' (Tips & Ph00 for definite, and I can only handy Tet once in a while) that I don't like at all. Used to buy the stores own (MrT come in a red box), but the price shot up
Spotted some in Lid! last year that were ridiculously cheap (and I was very short on supplies), so I picked up a box to try -and am now known by one of the check-out staff as 'the teabag lady' as I never pick up less than 6 boxes at a time
A box of 80 is 27p (pretty certain about that, though I always allocate 29p/box before I head there 'cos I forget which it is!) which means my brews are megga cheap these days :T
That made me :rotfl: as DH always says the check out staff in m0rrisons must call me the stuffing lady as everytime we go in I clear their shelves :rotfl:. Love M0rrisons own stufing and as I am the 4 roast dinners a week lady I eat ALOT of itso ive never come out without at least 10 of their family boxes.
Hurry up M0rrisons!! put it back on 2 for £1.20 :j:j:jSPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -
I eventually managed to get some beans from lido yesterday :j
I dont know how ive done it but ive actually got some of my food budget money left this week, i think doing this has made me be extra careful. I ordered some of the steak mince from Donald Russell for £22 and was going to have to pay for it out of next weeks budget of £50 but using what was left from this week means I only need use £7 of next weeks budget (which starts each friday)
Thanks for the thread kerri_dfw and for the original idea Mothership, You have really made me aware of how much i was wasting, and my little shop is now starting to fill up nicely (although has a long way to go yet)
I always feel guilty that my DH is working hard to support us and I cant work at the moment because of medical issues, If I can save us money on shopping and save up for luxuries too (3rd purse of course) I will feel like im contributing a little at least :j:j:jGrowing old is inevitable

Or 2 x 80 for £3.00 so 3.75p per teabag
The 240's have been instore for a few weeks but cannot find the offer online.
The cheapy cheapy Sainsburys ones are brilliantly cheap but have to say I prefer Typhoo.
Iceland have 15 bags of Wotsits or Quavers for £1.50 so 10p per packet (it's a 10 pack with 50% extra free) they had the offer for a few weeks and then it vanished but it was back today. Will amend

I am so pleased to have £24 in my Second Purse, I just didnt want to take money OUT of it :rotfl:Although, if you do use it it does come back to you with more pennies. When this happens to me I add up what I have bulk bought and mark it on my spreadsheet as money into the 2nd purse
Finally found an olive oil deal that's the right amount of pennies I want to pay...
Filippo Berio Olive oil £3 for 750ml in Mr A or Mr W 40p/100ml AND they both have the virgin olive oil £3 for 750mlDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

If anyone missed the 4 tins of Br&nston beans at Lido - they are now on offer 4 pack for £1 at Mr A0

I'm thinking about turning the offers page into a spreadsheet that people can update as they spot offers, this way it can be filtered by shop or aisle. I will give it a go tonight
I will still update the first page too.
