Second Purse Challenge 2012

Thanks very much for the replies regarding feeding SP each month - I gave it a tenner for April.....
And then went straight out and spent it! :rotfl:
Got teabags from Ic*land, 2 packs of chicken breast chunks 1/2 price and 2 stuffed turkey breasts 1/2 price - the bloke was putting more stuff in the freezer, so might be worth checking your local branch.
Also had to pay SP for Sallys Stores very generous supply of stuff!
So money in, money out and money back in
SP currently has £25 out of its new £30 float and 3rd purse
has £70 :T0 -
Well - so I've been trying to work out how to do this virtually. All my spending (ALL) comes off my M&S credit card - paid in full EVERY month I should add!! This system works really well with cash or as Mothership has done with an extra bank account, buuut how to do it while still getting my lovely M&S points? I'm thinking I will have to rejig the spreadsheets somehow:question:
Any ideas gratefully received :beer:Dor0 -

The only option I can think of is to also buy your SP items on your M&S card but put real cash every month into a second purse when you buy something back from yourself to pay that extra bit off. You'd need to be darned good with a spreadsheet though, or a second cashback on purchases card maybe  actually thats not a bad idea for me

I am so impressed with everyone's second and third purses - and so envious!!
another month is nearly over and I still haven't started my 2nd purse:( I finally gave in and did an AF order which was delivered today. I now have a well stocked shop.
all budgets went out of the window when we broke down on our way to Bournemouth at the beginning of the month and it cost us nearly £1400 to repair:eek:
I WILL be focused next monthsaving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200

Quick call the police - my shop has been raided by OH and he hasn't got any money to pay me:rotfl::rotfl:
S Wales Saver - I too used to spend the same way as you did but on a TesC0 cc, but changed over from that to cash. Know that I am losing points on not using the card, but don't think I have the brain capability to work it out otherwise:rotfl:. Have over £100 in my 3rd purse and have only been going for a about 3 months, so feel that what I lose out on points have now got money in hard cash which makes it easier to bear;)When you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying!:rotfl:

The thing is my 'nice' items are under lock and key - but downfall in that plan is that he has the key :rotfl::rotfl:When you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying!:rotfl:

All shops get shoplifters now and then LOL, you could temporarily 'stop buying' the items with legs. And tell your family its not worth you stocking them. They soon get the message. They will like having the treats in stock, so will eventually toe the line if you can stick by your guns.:rotfl::rotfl:
I only had to buy milk this week from my 1st Purse, though I did buy two lots of the DR Burgers from the 2nd Purse, (I've still to update my signature). I've still got loads of vegetables / fruit. I'm using EVERYTHING up in the fridge before buying any more.1st Purse £114.19 Monthly GB:rotfl::j:wave::j:rotfl:

Ok guys, I'm in a bit of a quandary now.... I have just done my list for shopping tomorrow (I normally shop once per month for 'dry goods' and once per week for fresh stuff like fruit/ veg/ milk etc) and have about £70 worth of offers... 7x the capacity of my SP! I intend to put the extra into my sp as I use them.... So my question is this....
Do I put £70 in P2 this week for all the offers? Or, put £10 in P2, buy the offers as part of my normal shop and spend the £10 on extra stock?!eppp
