Why did you choose them anyway, surely 1 would go with the more well known PDL's eg wonga, quick quid etc.

I guess because Mr Money Man is "offering" a tiny 53% apr against pay day loans 1759%!!

I hope you don't make the same mistake kelly - PDLs are ferocious if borrowers don't pay on time.

They are little fluffy kittens when compared to the likes of Barclaycard ;)

I thought Pay Day Box was a marketing code for a red light area ....
  • Bear with me as it is a little long winded. But very helpful.

Mr Money man is run by two guys called John Evans and Andrew Bailey. Lets concentrate on John Evans for now. He used to be the director for a company called Loans direct 2U. Now I am not saying that they are corrupt or anything untoward goes on with them However the two existing directors are called Hayley and Neil Evans. I have spoken with this company whose number can be found their website. They were very very unhelpful. Back to MrMoneyMan. This company is registered to and address in Guildford. I have spoken with the landlord who has never heard of them. John Evans is also the director for GCT solutions who are registered to an address in London (88-90 Hatton gardens) West One who manage this office block have cancelled their registration because they failed to present them with I.D. They gave a forwarding address to an address in Brighton. Which I am waiting to reply to the letter I sent them. Every avenue I chase down always leads to Brighton and Hove and as with any lie or deceit there will always been the tiniest element of truth. So I believe that these guys have an association with Brighton and Hove. I will chase this down until I have my money back. I am going to Brighton this weekend and I am going to stand on the Pier handing out leaflets offering a reward for a correct contact number for John Evans, Andrew Bailey or Musa Jalloh. Justice will be done.

What is confusing me is that PDB has a completely different address in it's T&Cs than on the bottom of the site.

The address in the T&Cs is 31 High Street, Bristol, BS1 2AW.

According to Google Maps street view it's an office block with "virtual offices" leading me to believe that address is all just a cover so he can't really be found, I can suggest however that someone can contact the company that runs the office block and see if the "tenant" left a contact number or an address.

I am in no mood to do more digging (I love to dig :)) but I can tomorrow.

  • well done for detective work sal and david, i hope you get back what is yours, there crooks and it should not be allowed to carry on.
if the police have a file it takes a while, to long for us ordinary folk, but they have to build a very good case.
hopefully they will get caught soon.

    Very useful post
  • Somebody from MrMoneyman called from a withheld number. And asked me to stop the constant barrage of emails etc. I gave him all the information I had and asked him for his registered address and number. The conversation was as follows –

Me: What is your company address and number
    MM: Look on the website
Me: I have and it is not your address
MM: There are many addresses there.
Me: There are four units at that address you are not one of them
MM: It is the address on the website
Me: OK I would like you to say the address to me now on the phone
    MM: No
    Me: Why Not
MM: It is on the website
Me: Say the address now on the phone
    MM: No

Why wouldn’t tell me? Crooks and thieves. I have finally got the addresses for Neil and Hayley Evans they maybe able to help with my enquires.
