ppi claim delay

i used the services of a claim handler to claim ppi insurance missold through loans.co.uk with GE money providing the loan i received a letter 6/9/11 from loans.co.uk stating that my claim had been upheld and i would receive a letter confirming the amount of compensation i was to receive, almost 5 months later the situation has not changed despite chasing the claims handler who are now stating that there is no time limit to which loans.co.uk/ge money have to respond, i feel almost 5 months is more than sufficient can anyone help with this the claims handler "empire claims" are less than helpful and only answer emails at a push.

Send them an email; and ask them to the job that you are paying them for, they should send this to FOS to make GE move.
Tell them you are not happy with the way they have dealt with your claim as you have had to do all the chasing and if they do not sort this out asap, you will report them to the MOJ.

This may just make them get their finger out.
  • Thanks very much for your advice, i will try this today, however i am not very hopeful on getting a response from the claim handler as they seem to file emails under the heading can't be bothered dealing with this, but thanks again.
  • 2 weeks after sending email to "specialist claim handler" still no response!!

Report them to the MOJ,did you put that in your email to the claims handler,do they have a phone?.

If i were you,i would ring Loans and ask for an update on the claim.
I would also, when you get the redress and the company asks you to pay the bill, tell them you are not happy with the way they have dealt with your claim and would like a reduction on the final bill, they should have at least contacted you to keep you updated,at the least responded to your emails.

No one can make a company pay out any faster than the next, but to ignore you is not good, bet they send you the bill pronto.
