in Techie Stuff
in my haste to loginto my gmail account i accidentally entered my login (email) and then password in the same box, everytime i now start to login to gmail it (very kindly) suggests my password as an alternative to my username - how do i remove this option please and can i transfer the process to other email accounts if i make the same silly mistake!!

Go to the specific page, click in where it gives you the option on the drop down list. Hover your mouse over the option you want rid of, and press the delete key (not the backspace key, the one that actually says "delete" on it)
Should get rid of that option on most browsers.0 -

nope, it just keeps coming up again, even though it appears to be deleted!0 -
try just deleting the autocomplete then (if you can).... may do it for youFriendly greeting!0

this is really, really useful but the problem is that at some point i typed in my password immediately after my login for gmail and the system has remembered this so what i need to be able to do is to remove the option for the site to suggest a range of logins (that i have previously entered) and start again

erm - internet explorer but thats all i know and vista - i can find out though if you tell me how0

I don't use IE so I know nothing about it, sorry.
The only thing I can think of is typing the first letter of the username in, using the down arrow until you're on the username and then pressing deleted, but that's already been suggested.0
