Dress shopping today, so excited!

Totally agree there - you definately cannot go by how a wedding dress looks on a hanger :rotfl:They look so strange hanging up - it can all be a bit overwhelming.

Have fun and try on as many as you want. Do let the assistants guide you (in a shop where you feel comfortable). They do this job, day in day out and do get ideas as to what certain people will suit.

On my 1st day shopping I made sure I tried several different styles - i.e slinky (stunning, but not with my hips :rotfl:), 50's, princess, A line, fist tails....so on. Then also be mindful that once you have in mind a general shape - you may want to play round with colours, decoration or plain, sparkle, shimmer - so many options. Now Im beginning to sound likea kid in a sweet shop (I want to go wedding dress shopping again)!!

Have fun- you will find it. Just don't try to rush and take everything in at once.

Definitely not going to rush it, got 19 months til the wedding so time is on my side. Can't wait to go again! I'm definitely going to research the shops more thoroughly next time.

After seeing what I liked and didn't like today I do have a much better idea of what I want. At the moment this is the closest to it:



Just need to find if the shops who stock it actually have it in!

I shall definitely have some brekkie before I go next time.... my stomach was really growling at me, I was so embarrassed!

Same here! :rotfl: I think it happens to us all. Don't fret though - you will find The One. I did - after about 10 shops!
