First Direct overrated

Like:

1. Overdraft
2. They answer the phone blisteringly fast (Sometimes after 1 ring!)
3. Part of a big bank that hasn't been bailed out
4. Regular saver rate
5. Very polite and helpful staff (It's like they get spoon fed sugar!)

Dislike:

1. As good as the service is, I've called First Direct about.. 2 times in a year and a bit?
2. Rates on saving products are low !
3. If you purchase their upgraded 'First Directory' account the benefits aren't that good or comprehensive compared to other providers.
4. My closest HSBC is in the town centre which is about takes about 30 minutes or so to get into.

I think like others have said you either get... Great service with low interest rates or High interest rates with not so great service


Although it all depends.. I'm sure people have called First Direct and had a 'bad experience' like with any company.
