combi van diesel pump. seal

Our combi van at work has been getting harder to start over the past couple of weeks. Had a look at it today and there is a leak around the diesel pump. anyway i took off the front of the pump and found that the rubber seal is faulty. vauxhall dealer cannot find a part number for the seal and wants to sell me a new pump for £350! have tried variouse motor factors and engineering suppliers with no luck. can anyone point me in the direction of a fuel pump specialist in the Wilts, Hants, Berks area? Spending some time looking for a seal which should only cost about £5 seems afar better option.

identify it as an o ring or lip seal with sizes and you'll have more success

more of an O ring than a lip seal, even though the mating surfaces are flat with a locating ridge. will take it apart tomorrow and get the vernier out to get a size!

once you've got the sizes and shape I'd be pretty sure that one of the pump reconditioning firms will be happy to sell you a replacement

Depending on age/miles it might be worth getting the same firm to run an eye over/recon the whole pump. Often when one seal has gone, the rest are almost gone
