Business name ideas and suggestions required!

Options
A frequent poster on this forum under another username but that one gives my area, lots about me away, etc, etc, which I'm keeping schtum on for now.

I'm looking for business name ideas for a new business I'm looking to set up at some point this year.

It will be a dog day care centre.

Away we go.... lets see what people can come up with :D

Starting another thread in the pet section of the forum for ideas, suggestions, etc, regarding the centre itself to see if anyone can come up with any ideas that I might not have already thought of so please pop over there to put your 2p's worth in too if you can. Thanking you! :j

Your town name could be incorporated but not knowing that I can't you any suggestions for that plus I hate coming up with business names lol

  • Thank you!

Yeah it'll depend on the final location - umming and arring between two at the moment as to whether I incorporate the town/area in the name.

Thats something I keep coming back to - by having the town name/area in the name, it immediately advertises its location simply by its name. Which might help get the business launched as its a unique business in my area. Equally though, I want a clever or snappy name that also says its dog day care. I might just end up going for <town> Doggy Day Care Centre or something totally unoriginal but thought I'd see if anyone could think of anything else that takes my fancy

    Keep 'em coming!

<town> Doggy Day Care Centre is direct and to the point but a fairly long name. I know what you mean about trying to find that snappy name but also remember more obscure names will require more marketing to get what your business actually does across to people.
best of luck sure others will have some more to add.

  • Yeah thats exactly the trouble I'm having with it pitkin2020 - so tricky striking the right balance between something short, to the point but also getting across what its all about - also have to consider the length of the URL too for the website as I personally can't stand long URLs and equally I hate URLs that show no resemblence to the actually product/company such as DIY dot come for B&Q - ok, its a DIY store but I always forget it and end up typing in bandq dot com instead :rotfl:
  • Thanks Savvy_Sue, I like it! :D

It works for B&Q though if search for them or DIY they will come up so they are gathering more people off the back of it!!

If you wanting a domain that is directly related to your business name then make sure you are searching for available domains at the same time as considering the name, that way you can either add them to the list or cross them off. Nothing worse thinking you have the best unique name to find every variant of domain for it is taken!

With regards to your business name think of your target market. If your aiming at mature clients with high flying careers then something like "The Dawg house" might not be appealing to them, and vicer versa. If you get the drift.
