PPI newbie - stupid question

hi guys,
HSBC are being very nice and have told me that I have had 3 loans in the past with PPI which I can claim. They are getting the dates and amounts of the loans to me within the next 5 days.
I honestly honestly don't remember taking out PPI so am a little stuck about what to put in the claim letter. Does anyone have any wording they would recommend? I've not claimed in the past because I didn't think I had it! I don't want to be naive, but I also don't want to lie - all help and wisdom appreciated.
