Oh I thought frontline was the one they reccomended or is that ad(something or other)

I second this. Please check with the vet what flea treatment/wormer is safe to use as she is pregnant.
As she seems very close to giving birth it might be best to leave her alone and risk a few fleas.
If your other cats are protected it shouldnt be too much of a problem.
Also as you say she tries to get into your mums house, i wouldnt be worried about confining her to your bedroom. I'm sure she would be grateful to be indoors

Actually, going to ring my vet now and enquire, not sure what time they are open till'.


Actually they are closed and its just an on call vet, Im sure I can diagnose a few fleas myself if she has them, rather than paying that kind of eyewatering bill :eek:

If this cat is currently neglected and outside most time and obviously had contact with local tom/toms then I think it's almost a given she has fleas. It really is worth talking to vet and perhaps PDSA vet if you're eligible as someone else here already said that Frontine (which never worked on my cats anyway) may not be safe for the unborn kittens. Also, may be worth asking vet about worm treatment in case. keeping cat in one room is do-able but a headache. I had to when my female had kittens (well only one live one) and I had to keep kitten away from adult male cat. My mum opened the bedroom window a fraction and next we knew cat had escaped... amazingly not breaking her legs as it was first floor. ... keep us posted on developments...sure a lot of people here would help/support you how they can...

Hi I'm back and catless, my younger sister came home from craft club before I got there and the cat ran out *doh* I spent over an hour looking for her, but its pitch black and she could of headed down the woods for all I know.

Have left the cat carrier, as she usually rocks round my mums house at around 9am, and my sister is on instruction to keep.her.in.the.house.

Head back there in the morning!
