okay,so the shower just stopped working (no water)
removed the panel, and it appears a small plastic piece has sheared from the water control dial.
when the dial is turned, this would actuate on a rod that opens a lower valve and allows water to flow
if i manually turns this valve I still get water and it still rruns hot with power
looks like this part is around £40
however Im wondering if its worth fitting the part(assuming im right and it fits without issue) to a 10+ year old shower
or should I put the £40 towards a new shower at around £100
are the shower fittings fairly generic? eg Im not going to have a monster job if i fit a different model such as Creda?
never dealt with power showes before,so any advice welcome

not sure about mira but in my previous house we had a triton electric shower that stopped working and needed replacing. triton's customer service recommend a suitable replacement model (the one being replaced was discontinued a long time before) that the pipework and connections were in the same place. made fitting the replacement a doddle in a recently tiled and decorated bathroom!!
may be worth calling mira cs to see if they offer similar advice.0 -
cheers for the advice
I did some research last night and came to pretty much the same conclusion.
most of the other makes seemed to go with a right han water feed,Mira with a left
So I went with another Mira unit(mira Play) and its all installed with only new mounting holes being required0
