You do realise that if you go BR, you may well be ableto keep the house?
Stop paying the unsecured debt NOW.
Start paying the mortgage properly.
Apply for benefits to help you pay the mortgage.
You can but only if the property is 'professionally valued' as having no equity. The decision however still rests with the mortgage company, even if you go bankrupt, if they will allow you to continue to live there.
You are best advised to start making the full payments to the bank and not just the interest as that is not paying the debt off nor will it give the bank confidence that you can pay your way.0 -
