voluntery to do or not to do???????????

Hello there hope theres someone out there who can help i work for corus in south wales in november it was announced that the subsidery company i work for who are imn the construction sector will be closing due to lack of orders.Anyway we've had the 30 day consiltation period and the company are still dragging there heels as to what is going on going forward i'm currently off work and have been since the beginning of the year i suffer with anxiety and depression probably caused by the debt issues i have.I have been kept in the loop as to whats going on there from collegues and my union rep,and have since been told there will be an announcement on the 31st of the month hopefully to tell us whats happening with the company.I have asked the union rep to ask if i may be considered for voluntery redundancy just cause im getting tired of the enevotable happening don't know if thats the right thing to do?Or should i stick it out till the bitter end and sorry for how it comes out Take them for as much as i caN.I have been made aware that if i was take the 1st option of voluntary red it will effect what benefits im able to claim is this correct?Just hope you guys can guide me and advice me the best you can thanks dan.:mad:
