Usual load of gobbledygook from the DM focussing on every issue apart from the real one which is that FP are a PPC and are as entitled as my milkman to levy fines. Reading through the comments was like being strapped into an dentist's chair and forced to watch a 3-minute spout from your average "star" of Jeremy Kyle. Sometimes I despair of my fellow man. Provided JK is on the morning and BB, Corrie, EE and Emmerdale in the evening then nothing is wrong with the world. Apparently. My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -

as for the comments: this piece is a dog-whistle for your average mouth-foaming, borderline racist mail retard. (TBF though, someone from edinburgh makes the point that this shouldn't be paid).0 -
This is the daft bit
""They say they won’t pay until they get a notice in their native language.""
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -
Would have been better for the journo to point out even if it is written in every language imaginable it still would not need paying!
Funny story about Welsh road signs, I had one driver ask another what is the best route from Liverpool to Angelsey? The driver said come off the M53 and then just keep following the signs to "Araf" there marked on the road all the way there!

About 20 years ago I found myself unexpectedly having to work for some weeks in North Wales in the height of the summer. Went into an accommodation agency in the High St of a well known resort hoping to find somewhere to stay. The resort was heaving with holidaymakers. Whilst waiting to be attended to noticed a sign, in Welsh, which said "If you can speak Welsh claim a 10% discount".
When it came time to be served I was quickly sorted out with a very good room in a local hotel a short distance away but before I paid I asked if the 10% discount applied as I could read the Welsh sign but would struggle to speak it (8 years of schoolboy Welsh). I was assured that it was just a joke and not to worry about it.
That ranks with "The cheque is in the post" then.My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).

Some of the comments made by people under the article are so ill informed. No wonder the PPC's are making money with people like that around."You should know not to believe everything in media & polls by now !"

Astonishingly stupid people around. That's why scams like this make money. :mad:PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I was thinking about asking for a Welsh version for my next PPC invoice for a laugh, the 'Fail' readers are a bunch of morons though, think I would agree to PPCs if they just fine [sic] the daily mail numpties alone
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
Flash Park, that's the company who gets normal people to shop "illegally" parked cars, so normally the only evidence they have of the "crime" is the say-so of some random person.
Chances of it going anywhere near a court-room are pretty much non-existant, they have no evidence0
