Help with browsers and connecting to the net

I have IE and Mozilla Firefox. They both take a while to load. Once I am connected the speed is ok its just taking ages to get going. Thanks.

Sounds more like a slow machine than internet speed.
Have you followed the Speed Up sticky at the top of this board?

    Options/Preferences Advanced then Update Tab.
Downloads (click on it) clear list ...... don't worry it won't remove the download, just clears the list, it often uses up memory in FF

Try Firefox in safe mode and IE in no add-ons mode to see if an add-on may be causing problems.
