Thanking a post after it has been changed

Hi,
If you "Thank" a post and then it gets changed the thanks get removed. While slightly annoying if it is just a copyedit and you've had lots of thanks, this is with good reason. You don't want to be seen having thanked a post that could have totally changed since you thanked it.
However, I've just noticed that if you
1. Load a page.
2. Make a cup of tea.
3. Read the page without refreshing.
4. Thank a post that you thought was helpful.
then the Thanks is accepted and remains even if the post was changed between you loading the page and you thanking the post.
Means you could be thanking something that you don't think is helpful.

Don't make a cup of tea between loading a page and thanking a post on that page.
Actually the post can be edited any time after you thank it, and it remains thanked.

It was an example!DVardysShadow wrote: »Don't make a cup of tea between loading a page and thanking a post on that page.
Equally, you could open various pages in different tabs and the last ones may have changed since being opened by the time you read them.
I don't believe that's the case.Actually the post can be edited any time after you thank it, and it remains thanked.
I've thanked your post.
Edit it and see if the thanks stays.
My point is that you wouldn't know that the post had changed. So you wouldn't know to remove the thanks.just remove your thanks0 -
Done that. Your thanks disappeared when I committed the edit and reappeared when I refreshed the page.JimmyTheWig wrote: »I've thanked your post.
