Help & Advice please for Hua Hin Thailand

We have been offered a villa, in Hua Hin, for a family holiday, we are very much on a budget, so I have never been to Thailand, so is it nice place to go, my kids are 15 son and 9 daughter, also flights
I think I would like direct because of kids, but the best price I can find is over £3000 the dates are 17/08/12 to 01/09/12 from London or South. Can anyone help with any of this, Thank you xxxx

I've not been to Hua Hin, but August / September time will be the rainy season in Thailand. So expect at least half an hours of heavy rain during the day and during the night.

With regard to flights, direct flights are almost always going to be more expensive than indirect. The cheapest indirect flights are usually via India or a Middle-Eastern country. If your lucky you might be able to find a cheap flight with either Etihad or Emirates.
  • Hi,
You get a much better price with a stop.
We went last year with Jet at £1850 for 3 adult fares and 1 child, excellent flights never slept so well.
Tend to set off earlier and therefore arrive at almost the same time anyway.
My children have been back and forth sine birth. They take it better than the adults.
Don`t worry about the couple of hours extra it`s worth the saving.
The flights are far dearer this year though. Make sure you check the flight details carefully I once spent 12 hours in Brunei on the way back from Bangkok through not reading.
Years since I went to Hua Hin. Pleasant but a little too laid back for me
