From Boots to Ebay in under 24 hours

Please please please boots, put a limit on what people can buy in store. Yesterday's 75% sale was carnage with greedy pigs, yes greedy pigs scooping up whole shelves into trolleys to put them onto ebay.

I hope they don't sell!! I got almost what I wanted from the sale and spent a lot but I have a huge family and is money saving for a genuine personal reason not greed that stops others having a shop too.

I will not link any particular listings but the amount of Sanctuary gifts sets is unreal. Those that cost £2.50 are listed at £10 plus posting and the gift cases that were £12.50 in the sale are listed at £30.

It is just not right. I am going to email the CEO once I find his/her contact details and I urge you all to do the same.

Never normally vent but this and re-sold concert tickets really gets my goat!!:mad:

Not sure they will care as a sale is a sale in their eyes and they want rid.

I went in today was still busy and full of people who couldn't work out how much a £10 item would be with 75% off :D shelves were almost empty but I managed to get 2 gifts (a saving of £22) so I got what I wanted.

Lots of make up sets etc but I have no use for them so walked away. Would have loved one of the ted baker vanity things but all the big expensive items had gone; although got a few bargains at 50% off too.

I find this a little presumptuous. How do you know that the people who do this aren't really strapped for cash because of their 'huge families' and have spotted a genuine opportunity to make a bit of cash? How do you know they're 'greedy'?

    Why would Boots care?

They might if they feel that they can increase brand loyalty by these sales. Something that would be pre-empted by having a few people sweep all the goodies from the shelves to re-sell.

I suppose it depends on their (Boots') primary motivation.

Perhaps, but I think that brand loyalty isn't something served or enhanced by having a sale. Sales are primarily to shift gear that they want rid off. I doubt they'll care who to.
