Hi Guys
I'm unsure as to my rights or what to do here, but heres the summary:
1. Purchased a new graphics card
2. Card arrived but it wasnt what I ordered, it was in fact better
3. I decided the best thing to do was be honest
4. Contacted the supplier and they gave me details to return the item by Freepost
5. I sent the item last Friday and got a receipt
6. Called today as I hadnt recieved the replacement and they claim it hasnt arrived and that its my issue with the royal mail to resolve.
I know it could still be on its way, but I doubt it. Im a little annoyed that Ive done as theyve said and its me who will lose the £50.
Just wondering what I can do here? I feel that as I used Freepost which I assume is that businesses account, that they should resolve?
Any advice guys?

too late now but why oh why didnt you pay for tracking?
freepost simply means the recipient is charged to their freepost account wqhenthe item arrives at the delivery office
you have no proof they have or havent got the item
you can try and put a claim into RM,however its 15 working days before they will consider that0 -
I know now I should have added tracking but I thought it would be fine considering it was returned as per the businesses process and using their freepost account.
I understand I can put a claim in, not sure the maximum, but I thought that as it was posted using their account that they would be the ones to claim against royal mail? Im probably wrong, but thats what I would have thought. Likewise I'll be complaining to them if the compesation isnt enough even though I've done as they requested.
I should have kept it0 -
Is freepost slow? I suppose it still as a chance of arriving?0

Who would be responsible for making a claim for items sent like this? Usually it's the sender, but would it perhaps be the receipient here as they have the contract with RM..........0

It another one of these Rip Off Britian companies - it about time we stood up for our consurmer rights.
Just do a charge back - you were following there instructions.Do you want your money back, and a bit more, search for 'money claim online' - They don't like it up 'em Captain Mainwaring0 -
It gets more interesting
I got an email back today when I complained after my phonecall and they say they dont have a freepost account.
So, im glad i kept the return emailing clearly asking it to be sent freepost.0
