Hi All,
This is my first post so go easy on me please
Just received a letter from the company stated above, but didn’t open it until last night 18/1/12 as it got mixed in with all the other mail. The letter is dated 23/12/11 saying that I owe them £100 and need to pay within 28 days from the date of this notice which will be tomorrow 20/1/12, i have missed the 14 day reduced sum of £50 as I only opened the letter last night
The letter looks professional, has a clear picture of my car and reg, both entering and leaving the parking area complete with date and time stamps, but unable to see driver
Only allowed to park in car park for 1 hour and I was there for 1 hour 27 minutes, I cant argue that because I was there for that amount of time, always thought the allowed time was 2 hours but obviously not, I have been back to the car park (retail car park at a well known pet store) and the signs are there very clear and not hidden behind a tree
So I am a little lost about what to do, I know I over stayed in the car park but £100 for over staying by 27 minutes is a bit too much
What is my next step? completely ignore the letters and any future letters? phone them and explain the situation hoping they reduce back to £50?
From reading previous threads everyone seems to suggest I ignore all together, but I’m still a little unsure because I agree that I was the driver and that I over stayed
Thanks for your time and sorry to be a pain, just looking to stay away from any sort of trouble

The solution is......completely ignore the letters and any future letters! completely ignore the letters and any future letters! completely ignore the letters and any future letters! completely ignore the letters and any future letters! completely ignore the letters and any future letters! completely ignore the letters and any future letters! completely ignore the letters and any future letters! completely ignore the letters and any future letters! completely ignore the letters and any future letters!
Everything else...location, time, etc is irrelevant, the only thing that matters is its a PRIVATE matter so PRIVATE = IGNORE stands.

As you will see on here - just ignore. Do not communicate with them, appeal, nothing. They will send you more nasty letters - just ignore them. I am ignoring two currently and am rather disappointed to not be receiving the nasty debt collectors ones to add to the collection.
Ignore, ignore, ignore.
Have a good day0 -
Well now onto my 3rd letter from TPS
LEGAL ACTION PENDING DO NOT IGNORE
In BOLD writing at the top of the page
I now "owe" them £140
Does it make any difference that they have the BPA Logo on the letter, or they just using that as a scare tactic?0 -
The BPA is just a club for these scammers. Just ignore and let them waste their money sending begging letters.Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!0

The BPA logo means that they've paid for an official looking logo that allows they to buy your data from the DVLA - and nothing more. It doesn't change TPS's or your legal standing.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. But the top sticky thread covers this...the letters are all there in pictures, with a Watchdog youtube clip as well.
You should be laughing at them by now and just playing a nice game of 'PPC snap' with each matching computerised threatogram that matches our pictures. Just look ahead each time for a pictorial preview of the next episode!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

People don't read the stickies, they don't look at the pictures and they don't watch the clip.
Why?? Well.......oooohhhhh, better not start.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why then you're as thick and stupid as the moderators on here - MSE ForumTeam0 -

Well probably why in a very large majority of times is that they come here on a google search, so they come into a pre-existing thread and post there. Its only when pointed out to create a new thread and read the stickies that people do just that.
Not everyone is forum savvy, and people looking for advice are probably panicking a little when they get an invoice stuck on their cars.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0
