On a sport forum that I subscribe to, there is a 'button' on the right hand side of posts that takes you straight to the top of the screen, rather than scrolling, that I find quite useful. Is this feasible on this forum software?
I suppose the preference depends to a certain extent on how you have got your posts organised (top to bottom or bottom to top).

Aha, but you have to scroll to the bottom of the page to find that, rather than it being on the right hand side of every post.
As I said, it is probably to do with my preference for ordering my posts 'newest first'. Having said that, if I had them ordered 'oldest first' I would like the facility to go to the BOTTOM of the page.0 -
Try "Home" and "End" on your keyboard.
Do It To Them Before They Do It To You

Super.
Home and End takes me to the BOTTOM of the page.
Home takes me to the TOP of the page.
I can now rest easy in my bed. Little things.........0 -
Fastflys, go to the top of the class :T
I was quite impressed at having the top button pointed out to me but home and end is just wonderful
Now I just need to find those buttons on my new laptop as I am finding scrolling without a mouse a bit of a fiddle.
Thanks again :j0 -

When I first bought a laptop I found using a touch pad very fiddly too , so I bought a mouse like the one in the link below and it's made life a lot easier.

As you loved "Home" and "End" sooooo much - My next tip will send waves of orgasmic pleasure pulsing through your bod.
To scroll up and down without using a mouse or mouse pad
Try keeping depressed the Up "Arrow" or the Down "Arrow" on your keyboard

Better to press the wheel of your mouse, then when the two or four head arrow comes up move the mouse in the direction required and let go at the required speed, great for reading long threads at you required reading speeds

Yep, totally agree but Edinburghlass was looking for a way to scroll up and down from her keyboard.
Edinburghlass has posted above that she does not have a mouse for her new Laptop and does not like using her Laptop's mouse pad.Do It To Them Before They Do It To You
