Yes you could use any of those options.Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -
basically fund it yourself....
all the things you mentioned about getting money to start your business, is getting like rocking horse poo.
the government, local authorities are struggling, and cutting back on spending so grants etc are getting non-existant.
the best way to fund your business is from your own pocket, if there is no or not enough money in there, then go and earn it, by working, ebaying etc...
welcome to the real world... you are basically on your own.
Why dont people realise, no one is going to hand out money to people who want to start their own business.....or even give unsecured loans etc..
Sorry but i am sooooooooooooooo fed up with all these posts asking for flipping money to start a business up. Loads of people start businesses without any financial help ( including me)Work to live= not live to work0 -

Thats all good and well if you are starting a cottage industry but in the real world some businesses will never get off the ground without some sort capital injection, either from investors or loans. Quite a few businesses would need far more money to even start than an average joe is likely to earn in 10 years.
In fairness to the OP they haven't given enough information to offer any real meaningful advice but it certainly comes across like they haven't the first clue what business they are intending to start with "Really whats to start my own Business !!!!", for all we know it could be craft stall or an engineering company.Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -

regardless if it is a cottage industry company that would need a large start up cost, Some people just expect money to be thrown at them because they mention the words business start up.
If they truely believe they have a fantastic business idea/concept then they should be prepared to get/earn the start up cost themselves IMHO
There isnt an bottomless pot of money,
Yes i am harsh, but there are too many people expecting hand-outs to start up a business.. which 99.9% of the time go nowhere.
We get a few threads every month asking about flipping start up grants etc...
Edit.... loads of people use there own money to start businesses that grow into large companies....I didWork to live= not live to work0 -

I'm not disagreeing regarding grants etc but loans and investors are needed in a lot of businesses.
I can't think of many people that could pull 250k out of their back pocket to start a business. Some businesses can afford to start small and build on it others can't. If people didn't borrow money to start a business a lot of businesses would never get off the ground.
Its no different to people borrowing money for buying a house!! Why shouldn't they be expected to just fund it from working!!Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -

And surely, just as someone wishing to borrow money for a £250,000 house would be expected to contribute a £25,000 deposit, get a professional surveyors report to show that the house is worth the money and prove that they have the income to meet the repayments, then someone wishing to borrow money to grow a business should be contributing some money of their own into the pot and providing a well thought out and realistic business plan to assure investors ?0 -

...and where did I say they shouldn't do that??
I agreed that free money like some grants shouldn't really be happening but loans and investors certainly aren't free money. Grants though in fairness usually have a lot of conditions that have to be met first.
The point I was making that not every business can be started without some kind of funding. To think that every business could be started up small on a shoe string budget is being very naive.Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -
You need
A business plan
Cash flow forecast
A cash injection from you
and quite probably security for a loanVuja De - the feeling you'll be here later0
