Gloves for someone with arthritis?

Can anyone suggest anything for my FIL, Needs sone gloves but has difficulty putting them on.

Looked on the arthritis website and most of the gloves they sell / recommend are compression types, All well and good except he wont be able to grip them to put them on and take them off.

Tried the supermarkets and they are very tight fitting on the fingers, Which is no good.

Hi - not sure if he uses a stick or crutch at all, but if he does size is also an issue.
I got around all this by getting a pair of brown leather gloves from Johm Lewis. They are expensive but easy to get on/off and warm enough too.

He has quite fat fingers, Which are worse when the arthritis kicks in. So he cannot grip between his finger and
    thumb.

Velcro fasteners are a total no go, He wouldnt be able to grip the flap.

Needs gloves he can slip on and off without having to grip them, I tried L/XL gloves in the shops and i found then
tight so no way he could wear them.

    Thanks

Thinsulate gloves seem to come up quite big IMO, AND they have a Velcro bit which you can leave fastened and loose, IYSWIM.

How about a MummyMitt for his walking stick. They were designed for pram/buggy handles to fix around the handle with a broad velcro tape and be left in situ so that mum's could slip them on and off easily to deal with children/babies/shopping. I don't have arthritis but I do get quite intense pain in my hands at times and they can be virtually useless at other times. I use them on my mobility scooters (can't hold a stick but then again I can't walk far enough to worry about not being able to LOL). It may be possible to get them to supply one/more without the velcro?

Got some motorcycle mitts similar to the mummymitts but very large waterproof and no velcro, Now just need to sort
    some gloves out.

How do you put gloves on if you cannot grip?

    Thanks
