  • I don't think so. On the rare occasion that I've seen the same product on both stores, there's been a big difference in the prices. Poundstretcher is just like any other discount store except some things are a few pounds cheaper (so you will find some bargains there), but most things are usually well over a pound just like in normal shops, whereas Poundland is always cheaper because things are never more than a pound. :)

Thank you for the replies.... What a shame though!!

They had these in Dundee too, yesterday and Little Dora the Explorer Dolls too, they were being snapped up.

Another bargain which I found was the Peanuts / Snoopy Calendar, you know Charlie Brown's dog?

They sell for £7.99 on the calendar club website and are selling for £2.99 upwards plus p&p on ebay.

Link here to the calendar club so you can see which one it is:-

http://www.calendarclub.co.uk type in "peanuts" without the quotes into the search box on the left hand side as the direct link is not working when I post it in here and it's the pink calendar I got.

    and on ebay :-

god i hope bromley have some of these for my snoopy mad daughter!!

That's where Home Bargains comes in, when I found a Family Fortunes keyring for 29p in HB my immediate thought was "i would've paid a pound for that in poundland".....

Does anyone know if Poundland still sell Cadbury's Instant Hot Chocolate. It's £2 in Tesco's. :( I love it, but only lasts me a few days.

twin packs of Original Source lavender shave stuff- and best of all I think some impressive looking books for slightly distant relations.

Obviously I'm not the first to get these,as they are very cheap on Amazon Marketplace- but with postage of course! Anyway they look good books for presents- sadly I have even put aside one for one of the kids to give to me;)
