I picked up a rather colourful set of chidrens bottles with sports caps for school - Dont bother with them, they are useless! When u try and drink from them a tiny bit of juice goes thru them and lots of air!

Went in the fareham branch today and they had waterproof picnic mats in.

Also SD card readers (looks like a flash drive) I think they were new in as they had loads!

Also noticed packs of 5 eco friendly large paper sacks for garden waste, oh and pop up garden bins (like the pop up laundry baskets)

Not sure if its mentioned here but they have a cat toy which has a feather on the end of it that is a £1... bought the same thing from pets at home for £2.99... so thats a saving for someone....

same with their pet fleece blankets... etc... good prices for them....

My local Poundland has had these in for a while now and my daughter adores them.
They come in a packet that you drop into water-it fizzes and reveals 2 or 3 figures (there are 24 in total) so you never know what you are going to get, great fun for all!
Incidently if anyone else has bought these and is interested in swaps as we have a few duplicates now, pm me.
  • Our local Poundland had kids sized George jeans in stock !

Don't suppose they have batch numbers or anything on them that will help give a clue? :)

Our local one in Reading has closed for a week for a refit.the flooring has been there since superdrug relocated many years ago (and probably since it was an opticians in the 70's) and it looks like they have knocked down a wall and extended into the stock room area. A lot of plastering going on. Its never been modernised or decorated since they took over the store.

So more room for bargains when it has been finished on the 16th.

In Northampton they have New Skin by Germolene, its like a glue that you spread on cuts instead of plasters, expiry date is jun 2007, but in Boots its nearly £3, excellent for children who pick plasters off

There's no way on earth you'll get that stuff on a kids cut!!! it stings like nothing on earth :p
  • Pack of four rechargeble AA batteries near the tills in the King's Lynn store. Also picked up a small bicycle pump which fits on the frame. It has a lock to stop it slippping off the valve when you're pumping tyres up. Neighbour needed one so I'm picking up another for myself on Saturday.
