In Salisbury they had packs of intuition ladies razor blades - bargain as they're about £5 in tescos. They also had the razors.

Those little SD card readers are a good buy in Poundland but you can get them for around £1.60 from LEDSHOPPE, shipped from Hong Kong.

Got some turtlewax jet wash car wash, and car wax, branded bottle things which a hose attaches to from Meadowhall store. Both Shampoo and Wax versions were available. I assume the idea is to attach your hose and point it at the car to shampoo and wax. It claims to be just like an automated car wash.

Be careful as one of my bottles leaked a little on its journey home.

Also got ITN - 50 Years of News: Reporting the Events That Shape Our Lives (Hardcover)
by Andrew Montgomery http://www.amazon.co.uk/ITN-Years-Reporting-Events-Shape/dp/0955035600 Perhaps a bit dated being published in 2005 but a bargain nonetheless and the history won't change (much).

A good deal, but it does work out cheaper if you get hold of concentrate. Water is free from many petrol stations.

I know this was a long time ago you were discussing this, and I dont know if you have already found this out, but those SD Card Readers dont work with 2GB SD Cards.
It may have been that or I possssibly could have been the fact I was using a 2GB MicroSD -> SD -> PC...... Hmmmm!
    Either way, that didnt work!
  • I recently bought packs of their clear parcel tape due to moving home - they do 2 types - pack of 3 standard rolls or pack of 2 extra sticky rolls.

I bought the extra sticky as didn't want my Denby on the new driveway!

I can definitely recommend the xtra sticky ones as usually cheap tape does not stick well or easily but this stuff was better than rolls supplied with my handheld roller from stationery box at c£10  and the right size too. An absolute must if moving home and packing stuff into cardboard boxes. (just ensure you haven't packed away a scissors or small knife/blade to reopen later, eh? :o )

As this stuff is so cheap I used lots of it wrapping it all the way under the base of boxes ...& some so all out of tape now but will be picking up some more to refill asap.

As this stuff is extra sticky & clear tape it can also be handy for securing the thin plywood backs on furniture (which always falls off if you push even slightly too hard  ).

Now, who else can I tape up...hmmm?:p

They dont have Sorbitol but another of the same family Malitol.Take notice of the warning on the packet (excessive consumption may cause a laxative effect) just above the net weight 40g.1 packet should be ok,and yes I am diabetic and learnt what Thorntons diabetic toffees can do to you when you eat to many at Xmas first one as a diabetic terrible time as I had no idea of the after effects.
By the way the Poundshop ones are very nice, but dont be greedy.
