I know what you mean.
I have bought may things from there that have proven usless like the universal remote which turned out to be a toy than a remote. Still I go back mainly because there are some things that are a true bargain.
It is very frustrating to think of the pounds wasted but I am more a cup half full kind of a person and like to think of the pounds saved. I have seen some of the rubbish bought from poundland in other shops costing a lot more than a pound.
I too have bought 3 card readers but no problems to report as yet but will be on the lookout.
I think this is very good to be aware of some of the complete rubbish that poundland sells and only spend the pound on it if you want to risk it.Its better to be late in this life than early in the next one.

In Kilburn, London I got an easter bonnet, a basket with eggs in and wrapped in cellophene and a craft kit for making decorations on the bonnet.

Poundland Solihull have Ribena Light (550ml or 500ml ??) Bottles on offer for 4 for a £1.00 - making them just 25p each.
They went out of date at the end of Feb but still make a great buy considering they are over £1 a bottle In some shops!0 -
Twin pack of Bob the Builder kids books - one is a soft back book which I think would be about £3.99 in WHSmith and the other is a board book in the shape of a tool which I think would be about the £2.99+ mark in any other shop.
Some more stuff to stash now for parties etc etc0 -

Make sure that you always put the sd card in the right way ! Label side facing the same way as the led/white writing on the reader. If not , you can damage the contacts on this little beauty. :j0 -
