Electric meter readings
My electric bill was 3 times the last one (over £900 for the quarter) and as the meter reader had a hard time reading the meter (poor digital display, awkward location) I thought I'd check it myself. My meter switches between three readings, one has a flashing small number 1, the next has a constant small number 2 and the third no small number. I just read the meter twice and the readings are below:
86317 86333 (flashing 1)
46398 46398 (constant 2)
32716 32732
I am assuming I'm still on the day rate, so the 86317 and 32716 have both increased by 16. On my bill the meter readings are 45344 day and 84183 evening. The 4#### number looks like the night rate to me and either the 8#### or 3#### should be the day rate. From what I can Google if a meter has three readings one is day, one night and the other the total, but these don't add up.
Anyone any idea how to read these stupid meters?

86333+46398=132731 (add 1 for rounding) then ignore the first digit and you get 32732 which is the total of the first two numbers.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)

Thanks, didn't spot that. I'll need to try and check the times the rates change and that the meter is reading correctly now.0
