Hi, I really need a new house, I live in a small 2 bed with 2 1/2 children! I am really worried as I don't want to end up in a rough council estate!! I want to stay in the village I am in but can't afford to buy..... well could afford mortgage payments but need to get on ladder!! I have no deposit.
Is there a scheme which would help me get on the ladder? I have heard of a few things to help young people like me and OH! but not quite sure!
Please help!

Hi Angelcake
There is lots of info including case studies, eligibilty and properties for sale on this site
http://www.homebuy.co.uk/
Most councils keep a database of people interested in HomeBuy or Shared Ownership properties - it may be a good idea to call you local council and ask for information about how they operate their schemes. The Scheme for the south west is run by New Futures

There is a lot of stuff to read but it is worth a look as it shows new builds as well as re sales. The smallest deed is greater than the grandest intention ~ Anonymous0 -
Have you applied to local housing associations? Only sometimews they "buy in" properties off private landlords & you could get a much longer term rent? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
