Travelodge complaint

All,
Hoping someone out there can help. My partner has just tried booking a travelodge super saver non-refundable room online and we both checked that 18th Feb was selected. She then went and paid and come the confirmation it said the 8th. We have spoken to several people on the phone regarding this and have tried to change the booking but because the rate we got was £32.50 and the room is £33 on the date we want it won't allow us to amend the booking because of the difference of 50p! It doesn't help that it is near on impossible to physically talk to someone. Couple that with a 5 month pregnant woman and you can imagine the fury within the household. We have sent an enquiry using their online form explaining all this and I was just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience and had a positive resolution? Or if anyone had any advice on getting this resolved.
Many thanks in advance.
Aaron

I once had to cancel a trip the on the morning of traveling with plans to stay in a Travelodge that same evening. I sent an email sometime that day and I got credit onto my Travelodge account to the value of the original booking. I thought it was quite fair of them as the room was one of the non-refundable rates, but I guess they took kindly to not being able to travel due to a panic attack lol.
Hope it goes well for you! Just thought I'd let you know there is some hope!0 -
Last year i was booking 3 rooms for a weekend ,i had all the booking done and the site then offered a meal deal,so i clicked on the link to have a look if it was worth it and it was so went back to page to add and then booked it. As my conformation was printing i noticed that it had the date i was booking it on it and i had not noticed because it was the 15th and i was booking it for the 15th of another month.but the date had changed.
To my horror of £300.00 and that i was unable to cancel as it was past 12am i rang the hotel and they said to re book and that they would imburse me.
They did eventually but they did offer me money back on my account ,but as it was such a large ammount i spent many emails trying to get a full refund and did.
Their system is not very good for this as there is no one to talk to and i think you are dealing with America, this probably does not help but keep e mailing .:mad:0
