had consoltation, got notice letter, company then sold, can they refuse to pay?

Hi there, im wondering if anybody can help me, a few months ago our company (who I have worked for 27 years) announced that they are to closed down one of their distribution centres and moved all the stock to another one 100 miles away, its all been amicable and very professional. I have gone through consolation and have been given 3 months notice and have a letter telling me how much they are going to pay me, and I have all the letters to confirm. im happy with everything and im working out my notice. however last week the company has been sold. does my redundancy still stand or can the new owner find a way of not paying me? Thanks in advance for your answers.

Either your redundancy stands, or it doesn't and you transfer as an employee to the new owner.

Is the new owner reopening your old workplace or is it remaining closed?

When was your date of termination in relation to the date of transfer or ownership? If the redundancy is/was completed before the sale, then there's no issue, but if it would span the sale date, there may be an issue about who pays. You might want to check with your employer (the old one) what if any agreement has been reached about your situation in the sale talks.
