Yet you're happy to save with Natwest, despite the horror stories_from them? (Search these forums and you'll quickly find them).

In my experience (several accounts with them), Santander are great.

While there were a lot of issues with how NatWest dealt with the e-savings account I personally didn't have too much of a problem with it. On general banking I would say that Santander get worse reviews than NatWest, Martin certainly thinks so from the comments he made on Five Live recently. But, as I said previously, my Santander accounts were also fine, so it's really a personal choice on my part not to go with them again.

Well, the compensation pay-out from NatWest made it a very high paying account!

Lloyds Vantage at 3%? (watch the T&Cs).

Having an esaver with Natwest and bonus ending soon I am in the same 'boat' so I too am very interested in this thread.

The only 2 that I have found that sort of fit the bill are the Northern rock one and Sainsburys Extra saver that pays 2.75% , both seem to have straightforward rates without a bonus that will disappear after 1 year.

FWIW I have been more than happy with the Natwest account but without the bonus I am off with my cash!

I did spend a lot of time on the phone to Natwest over the loss of this bonus, I spoke to 4 people in different departments and the impression I had was that they were not at all interested!

Does anyone have experience of the NR or Sainsburys access accounts?
I would like to know is roughly how long it takes to transfer funds from the accounts to a current account in another bank?
Are we talking about 2 or 3 days or would it be a week or more ?

Well it's goodbye Natwest esaver, you served me well but you are stopping my bonus on 14th Feb and I am not prepared to let you have my cash at 1% -tax so I am off to Virgin/N-Rock, account is now open so it's just a case of moving my stash over!

    It's Natwest's loss not mine!

Moved mine a few weeks ago - managed to get the AA instant at 3.2%. Expecting another reasonable deal from Natwest in March when all us Febbers have moved on (hopefully in time for when last year's AA 1 year fix matures...).

I gave them several opportunities to keep my cash with them including speaking to 3 different departments on the phone and 2 individuals at my branch, I used my strongest persuading powers to try to get my bonus back and after all that the result was Zero, a complete waste of time enquiring.
