PPI Confusion & rejection letter help!

I know there are loads of ppi bits on here but I may have a unique case!!!??? Years ago I went into Lloyds and asked for a debit card. The staff member gave me 2 forms to sign so I did, just thought it was duplicate one for me one for bank. I then got my debit card, all good. I then got a credit card through the post with no knowledge I had applied for one ( second form I signed!) So let aone not knowig I even had PPI I had never even requested a credit card to have ppi on!!!! I made a complaint with standard letter off which's webpage & have just had letter through saying its been rejected. Do I just ring and tell them my story or what???!!! Not sure what to do next to ensure I get money back! anyoen got any advice PLEASE!???

Your complaint should have told them the story. If they rejected it first time, then a phone call wont change that. Verbal accusations without evidence are very weak complaints. Is there any failing that you can use factual information on (eligibilty, financial need for example)

  • The standard letter probably did not match your circumstances. You should only state what is true when you complain.

However, if you signed a document without reading it, that was rather foolish. Do check what you sign in future.
