PPI as a lump sum

Hi all

I am currently starting to claim against natwest for 7 loans. I have reasons for being miss sold, one that i am not so sure on is the fact they may have put the ppi as a lump sum on my loan then charged me interest me on that.

I dont really want to delay this anymore as i have account numbers dates etc, so should i still mention it in my questionnaire im filling out?

If so how can i word it? i was thinking something along the lines

"i dont know if my miss sold PPI was charged to me as a lump sum and then extra interest charged ontop of this so would like this looking into as another reason of miss sold PPI"

Thanks for any help

Chris

    Hi Chris,
I would be more positive and say "I am of the opinion that the PPI was a single premium upfront payment and I have had to pay interest on this for the duration of the loan, this type of PPI is frowned upon by the FOS" ;)
If it wasn't single premium they will soon tell you but the chances are that it was, good luck :)

  • Thanks, i will do just that, but if it was not a lump sum would this go against all the other reasons i think i have been mis sold?

If you have further "concrete" reasons for mis sell then fine but if it was upfront this is hard for them to turn down. Do you have any thoughts as to why it may not have been upfront? Statements, original agreements etc
