can anyone tell me how to upgrade from 2.21 to 2.3 or what ever newest is.

What phone is it ?

on my sammy i go to settings > about phone > software update > check for update

make sure wifi is on.

It also depends on what network you are on and if the phone has been branded by the network.
If it's "stock" (i.e. no network branding) then their may be an update waiting.
Otherwise you'll have to wait for the network to brand the update and send it out.

Think Gingerbread 2.3.6 is the latest version for your phone.

You can do it manually! but the site that has the info is in Blackout for the SOPA protest for the next few hours!

thanks for the replies so far, the phone is a samsung galaxy mini, i have gone to settings-about phone but there is no software update like i have on mine.
i have tried that link above but not got a clue where to start looking
