Wall Insulation Grant

Hi,
About an hour ago I had a young lad knocking at my door offering me wall insulation for only £69 when it is normaly £700 based in a scheme organized by the Southampton City Council.
As I am normally over cautioned when someone seems to offer me "bargains" i wanted to see if anyone knows anything about this scheme.

I am with British Gas for my elec and they were doing it free, also loft insulation too.

I had my loft and cavity wall insulation done through my local Council scheme. However, I rang them first to seek an approved installer rather than having a salesman turn up unannounced at my door. If you want to look into it I'd ring your local Council first, if you can't get it done for free as per the other replies on your thread.

Yes I found it a bit strange that I can do it for free.
