What would be a fair price for installing a central heating system in a 2 bed terrace. There would be 6 radiators in the house and a condensing boiler
thanks in advance

It varies so much depending on area, boiler, radiators, shape and size of house. Get about five ( some say less some say more) quotes and take it from there.0

c4k maybe a bit less0

I'm doing one week after next. Just under £4k0

I had a quote from British Gas (expensive I know but I wanted a benchmark) for my 2 bed end terrace and it was £4k which included extra piping outside and a couple of new valves for the radiators. I haven't got any other companies round yet for comparison but BG have a £400 off a new boiler offer on until end of feb.~~~~~~~~~~
If you’re generally healthy and aged between 17 and 65, do something amazing....

[STRIKE]£3,824.89.[/STRIKE] On second thoughts get three quotes from RGIs who have seen it and discussed your requirements face to face with you.

What about your DHW?. You haven't specified if you want a conventional boiler or a combi. If the former, the tank and associated pipework has to be taken into account.
What is already there? Is there an adequate gas and main water supply to the boiler site...?
Just too many variable for anyone to give more than a vague idea.
I think keystone got it in one.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
OMG I love BG's effort at generating business by kidding everyone they are doing them a favour by offering a £400 off deal. They charge £400 more than everyone else and I know for a fact they get boilers at an incredibly low price as they buy so many.
Keystone's right, get someone in who knows what he's doing and make sure, for gods sake, they check your water pressure/flow rate at standing pressure and working pressure. You're in a terrace and there's a very good chance you a have lead incoming main pipe and its even possible you're sharing it with your neighbour. These checks should/have to be done otherwise you wont get out of your possible combi what you want and would have been better going for a conventional condensing boiler. Trust me if they dont do it and you haven't got whats needed to run a combi you will regret it.
As far as the radiators goes there are ways to save money by having them back to back, all depends on where you want the rads positioning really. Dont let anyone quote for microbore piping either and ask for a boiler filter.0 -
