Just noticed that this forum has hit the 100000 post mark (might even have been me - is there a prize?) , of which I have less than even 1%.
Not sure myself whether I have learnt more or advised more.
Well done to all the regulars!
P.S.Thought that was impressive until I saw the 2.5 million on the debt-free wannabee thread.

Well spotted - I think?

Had a look at the DFW board once. Had chronic depression for a week afterwards. If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -
I do like seeing the regulars, you kind of feel you know them. Sadly therefore its a shame when they stop and you wonder if they are all right especially those that appear to be retired eg: fengirl?0

eg: fengirl?
I suspect she gave up after being upset by a couple of idiots. But appeared to resume for a while under a different name. I recognised the style and she had a bit of history under the new name that I remember from 'fengirl'. So, hopefully OK.
RayWolfe is another I miss. More of a regular on the Finance bits than Tax ...... and rarely ran his replies to more than a single sentence. But always difficult to judge his age.If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -
RayWolfe had a run in with an idiot here and gave a response that got him chucked off. Needless to say, the idiot no longer contributes.
However, the name "Wolfe" could be translated to a french animal of the same type ...
Cheers

If I am remembering correctly , Fengirls Son posted on the board to report that she had sadly passed away.... Think that was about 12-18 months ago now.The loopy one has gone :j0

Indeed it could.
And the last date of posting + the date of joining tie in quite nicely.
And ...... that's more than one sentence! If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -

Bet she's giving tax and charity advice up there. Bless. If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -
Elementary my dear Yorks ... when you've been given the answer!Indeed it could.

The single sentences are a product of still hunting and pecking even though I've been using computer keyboards since 1979. Difficult to teach old dogs new tricks. (Damn, another clue given.)0 -

And there was me - really concerned you'd decided to push up daisies (whilst, no doubt, arguing with them). And all the time you're Scarlet Pimpernelling under our very noses.
Pleased, however, to know you and your typing finger are fit and well!If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -

This has puzzled me ever since I posted it yesterday (re Fengirl).
The name I was trying to remember was 'Gertie Walker'. Who started posting, mainly on the Tax forum, just as Fengirl stopped her regular posts on here (and switched to some Charity posts) in mid June 2010.
The last post from Gertie Walker is in Dec 2010 - a week before Fengirls death. Towards the end Gertie Walker also had some posts on the Charity forum. Neither of them opened many threads .... but this one is from Gertie Walker in Nov 2010 :

........ and seems to forge a real link between the two of them? There is no 'About me' for Gertie Walker - so I obviously picked up the specifically stated Taxes background from one of her posts.
So - perhaps we lost two at the same time!If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0
