Wow very well done, I was lucky enough to win a trip there (c/o good old MSE) back in 2009 and had an awesome time. We did the Empire State building, paid for the fast track which was so worth it as you get to the top much quicker and that was such an amazing experience in itself. I also dragged hubby along to see Mamma Mia (got the cheap tickets from the box in Time Square) and we had such a laugh he was even singing along by the end.
Now I just need my two little ones to be a bit older so we can all go as a family next time - can't wait to go back, though be warned its very windy!!Olympics Challenge

If you want to shop, Woodbury Common is a great big shopping village just outside of NY (there is a bus) and you can get designer clothes at a fraction of store prices. My Daughter bought loads (so take spare folding luggage) but do remember the luggage allowance for the flight home. Thanks for your comments everyone and for your tips on where to go I havent got a clue which hotel I am staying in yet.. I would def like to do the empire state building. I can't wait go go shopping there. I normally I only ever buy things in the sale so will be nice to splash out!
I never normally do anything for new years, always spend it at home so will be an experience to remember
