Barclaycard claim rejected - worth pursuing??

Hi all
I would appreciate some advice as I am getting conflicting info from reading stuff on the internet.
I sent off two forms on my husband's behalf to Natwest and Barclaycard to complain about the PPI cover he had had on both cards for years. We had cancelled the policies a few years ago. He has been employed since he left school and would have been paid sick pay, redundancy etc.
Natwest have paid out £3.2k for their claim.
Barclaycard were due to write to him by December 21st but until yesterday we had heard nothing. He called them and they said claim had been rejected as he had 'positively ticked the box' for PPI! A copy of the letter came today but no copy of original application form which they said he had done by post at the time. He took the card out about 17 years ago and can't remember!
It is worth us pursuing with the FOS?
Thanks

You could write back and ask them for proof of the agreement with the box ticked,as you do not believe this box was ticked, and you believe this ppi was mis sold and do not accept the reason for not upholding, and if they do not respond to your request within 14 days, you will pass this to FOS.0
