Thanks for the advice, Moozie. I have started a spending diary, difficult to get oh on board though so I just list £10 to oh. We tend to shop online at Tescos for the points (went to Eurodisney last year on clubcard points) but codes drying up so may have to do Lidl etc. Have shopped there before and they are cheaper, just not the range of Tescos. Will think about a budget without food or petrol, probably £80 to start with and I'll see how we go with that.
Thanks also emzig123, I do use Tesco for fuel as I'm collecting points. Hoping for a holiday in October with points mainly. Would love to try the home cooking thing and will look into doing that, time is the problem there but I'm sure it would be worhtwhile.
Think today is first part of my SOA on the challenge so better get on with that.
Thanks again

Haven't done one the past couple of weeks due to the bab's arrival.. but now we're settling into a funny kind of normality I'm going to set our target at £30.
Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Last week
Transport : Budgeted £30 : Actual = £19
Lunch : £9 - Actual = £24.60
Social : £15 for friday, £35 if eating out is included : Actual = £27 (we did eat out).
Playing football : £5 needed to cover subs : Actual = £0 - game postponed.
Sister's birthday : £35 : Actual £22
Unbudgeted : £28 last sunday on an afternoon down the pub plus pizza
So things didnt exactly go swimmingly. £120.60 spent as opposed to £114 budgeted. This was mainly due to two things - a pub lunch on Thursday because someone was leaving. I had no idea about this. And also ended up spending a lot of last sunday out with my friends. I am fine with this since this would have been spent last night, but I decided on a night in.0 -
Having a NSD today, lunch with mum and just put some cakes in the oven.
Have got £20 in my purse right now and that's all I'm allowing myself this week. Shouldn't be too difficult. Hopefully!0 -
I was £10 for last week & was slightly over at £11
£10 for this week coming not to include lunch for my Mum's birthday.

I usually budget from Wednesday to Tuesday as Wednesday is my grocery shopping day, but I like a challenge...so here goes.
I allow £60 per week as spending money/grocery money for me and my 2 year old (OH works away so gets fed elsewhere). Today is a NSD yay! Hope it's ok to add this challenge to my signature? Thanks for the extra (much needed) encouragement.0 -
