British Gas EnergySmart

Hi i have recently brought my first house and currently has British gas standard gas and electricity. I have been looking around there site to see if they had anyway to find out what my first bills will be roughly (as this is my first house it will be my first bills so i want to be prepared!) They do have an option on there website but you need to be signed up to EnergySmart, which they say is free and you get an energy monitor, are there any catches to this or is it worth signing up to? :j Hope someone can help me

im on energy smart to keep up with my bills and i put in my meter reading every month and pay what it comes to i love it as there are no nasty surprises after 3 months!, its always been fine whilst ive been usin it! they also did an websaver 4 wen i signed up think u save somert like 4% i cant remember :S
u can also collect nectar points with them now too, 100 for each meter readin
